So I haven't updated in a couple of months for obvious reasons if you've been keeping up with my life. And my updates will be sporadic at best for the next few months. But to tide you over, here's some silliness involving hair.I grew my hair out for 18 months and then cut it off and donated it. How much does 12 inches of hair weigh?
As it turns out, only 2 oz., if you're me. On the other hand, if you cut out all the hair (all mine) that wrapped around the roll bar of my vacuum cleaner, it really seems to be about the same or more. (Sadly, I forgot to weigh it before discarding.

Barnard Snowmobilers Poker Run
To contact us Click HERE
Sunday the Barnard Mountainviewers Snowmobile Club hosted their annual Poker Run to benefit the club. According to Pam Butler, one of the event organizers, the run has been held for decades. In years past, the run has seen as many as 100 riders participate. This years run hosted 60 hopeful riders.

Each rider checked in between 9-10:30 AM, enjoyed some coffee, muffins then picked up their first card, and off they went. The ride consisted of 41 miles of groomed trails maintained by five club members. The money raised will help maintain the club’s groomer. Most the of trails are on private land, where written permission is collected each year. Some of the trails are on Town Class 4 Roads. The club is a member of the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, VAST.
There were four stops along the ride where the participants would collect another card for their poker hand. All envelopes containing the cards were to remain sealed until they returned to the Barnard Town Hall to register their hand. The winning hand received $100, the second best $50 and the third best $25. There was also a 50/50 raffle.
For those wondering about the trail conditions, everyone returning from the ride agreed the trails were in beautiful condition. One rider said, “They were great, they were awesome, they are the Best in the State!” Another rider said, “The trails were in way better condition than the trails in his hometown of Woodstock.”
The club is planning a Club Trail Ride for March, for more information about this event please check out their website: http://www.barnardmountainviewers.com/

Long Shadows (A video from my Buton Vlog. Gustavo Thomas © 2012)

After some weeks I'm back in this Blog (where I expose my life and my theatre). As a first step I'm retaking the publication of videos from my Butoh Vlog. So many travels, parties and work (I must say it, with pleasure), had put on hold these videos and other articles I wanted to publish here.
I'm still thinking about the importance of publicly posting these documents of my daily training improvisations; I've received a very good opinion from those who have seen them and I appreciate it a lot.As it's common in every post I clarify...:
This is part of my daily morning training, and nothing else. After walking and working with some postures and inner images, a short choreography emerges, that's what you see in this Butoh vlog.
The music you are listening in the video wasn't that I was working with during my training, it was added later during the edition.
